Dochas Code of Conduct on Images and Messaging

As an Associate Member of Dóchas Age Action is a signatory to the Dóchas Code of Conduct on Images and Messages.

By signing the Code, Age Action commits to a set of principles (Dóchas website), ensuring that we will avoid stereotypical or sensational images. The adoption of the Code means that aid agencies will choose images and messages that represent the full complexity of the situations in which they work, and that they will seek the permission of the people portrayed in the photos they use.

All of the organisations that sign up to this code have a responsibility to uphold the values of human dignity, respect and equality in all of their communications.

Dóchas is the association of Irish Non-Governmental Development Organisations. For more information on the code see the Dóchas website here.

If you would like to share any feedback or comments on Age Action’s implementation of the Code, please email info@ageaction.ie.
