Age Action welcomes withdrawal of HSE directive to limit incontinence pads
Thu, 10/05/2012 - 15:56Age Action has welcomed this afternoon’s announcement by the HSE that it is to withdraw its directive to limit Medical Card holders in Carlow and Kilkenny to just three incontinence pads per day.
“The speed with which the HSE has withdrawn the contentious correspondence means the distress it will have caused among people who are living with incontinence will be limited,” Age Action spokesman Eamon Timmins said.

The report by social enterprise firm Gauge shows that for every €1 invested by Irish Life in Age Action’s Care and Repair programme, there was a social return on investment of €16.85.
