In addition to the 1250 individual events expected to take place during the week, 15 towns have been selected to be Positive Ageing Week Towns, they are:

Trim, Co. Meath

Tullamore, Co. Offaly
 

Some of the highlights will include a boat trip, a torchlight walk, mystery tours, educational seminars, a well being day, intergenerational events, a visit your neighbour day, fashion shows, arts and craft exhibitions, a talent show, mobile phone clinics, a senior sports festival, cookery demos and dinner dances.
